PRODUCT SERIES
Standard Series
A dependable base for everyday prints.
What this series makes easier
If you are printing to hold a design in your hand, to check whether it fits or to show a model to someone, your concern is not the material — it is the print finishing without trouble. That is the job here: everyday prints, prototypes, mock-ups, indoor parts, presentation models.
What you want here is a print that works on the first try: a spool that sticks to the bed, does not demand tuning and asks your printer for no extra hardware. If this is your first spool, it is also where to start — what you have to learn should be your own printer, not the temper of the material.
Which material family to look at
For this series the one honest candidate is PLA+. In the material selector its ease of printing sits at the top step and its surface range at the widest. It needs no enclosure, no Direct Drive extruder and no drying — whatever printer you have can most likely print it.
Its mechanical strength sits at the middle step. That is not a shortcoming but a boundary: if the part will not carry load, you do not need more.
High Speed PLA+ filaments are developed to deliver higher flow performance than the standard PLA+ ranges. Because the filament’s melt flow capability is higher, material feeding inside the hotend continues more stably at high printing speeds.
This reduces the risk of under-extrusion, uneven flow and the resulting clogging that can occur when print speed is increased on high-speed 3D printers. Especially in fast prints that require high volumetric flow, the High Speed PLA+ range offers more suitable and more stable use than standard PLA+ filaments.
In short, while standard PLA+ is suitable for general use, High Speed PLA+ is developed for users aiming for more consistent flow and uninterrupted filament feeding at high speeds.
When to look at another series
Choosing PLA while knowing its limits beats wrestling with the wrong spool.
- If the part carries load or stays outdoors — PLA generally does not withstand heat as well as PETG. Look at Functional and the PETG+ family.
- If the part has to flex and spring back — PLA does not flex. Flexible and TPU 95A are your route.
- If mechanical load and heat come together — move to Engineering and High Performance. The materials there may ask for an enclosure.
- If the surface itself is the point — for a silk, matte, marble or glow-in-the-dark look, see the effect types in Specialty.
Practical notes
- Temperature. The range the brand gives for the PLA+ type: nozzle 190–210 °C, bed 45–60 °C. Those values belong to that type; for another type, check its own range on the product page.
- Storage. Keep the spool in its closed box or bag when you are not printing; filament left in the open collects dust, and dust travels into the nozzle. A dryer is not a requirement here; where it is, the other series pages say so.
- Surface. On a plain PLA+ print the layer lines are visible; that is the nature of the material. If the surface is central to your work, an effect type gets you there faster than tuning layer height.
- Diameter. Filament diameter is 1.75 mm across the products in the collection.
